Virginia L. Rogers

With a heavy heart, we lost our sister and aunt on Friday, January 19, 2024. Virginia “Ginny” was the first-born child to Clarence and Margaret Rogers in Middleton, Wisconsin on April 1, 1947. She was baptized at St. Luke’s in Middleton on June 15, 1947.

The family lived in Delevan, Clintonville, Waukesha and Hales Corners before settling in Winneconne where Clarence and Margaret purchased and established Rogers Publishing Company and The Winneconne News in 1953. Ginny graduated with high honors from Winneconne High School in 1965. She started her post-secondary education with a technical degree in Minnesota and later achieved a bachelor’s degree in medical technology from UW-Oshkosh in 1983. Her entire career was at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist from February, 1967 until May, 2013.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, C.O. and Margaret Rogers; brother, John A. Rogers; sister and brother-in-law, Peggy and Mel Freund.

She is survived by her sister, Kris (Dave) Pohlman; sister-in-law, Lynn Rogers; along with nieces and nephews, Jenna (Curt) Stam, Kevin (Bobbie) Rogers, Melaine (Jeff) Dunlap, AJ (Stacy) Freund, Emily Pohlman (fiancé John Borchardt); and a beloved cousin, Paula (John) Huff. Ginny is also survived by great-nieces and great-nephews, Connor (Autumn) Stam, Parker Stam, Nora Stam, Estella Rogers, Griffin Rogers, Carter Dunlap, Bryce Dunlap, Ellison Freund and Griffin Freund.

There will be a private Celebration of Life for the family at a later date. Interment will be in the Winneconne Cemetery.

Mueller Funeral Home-Winneconne is assisting the family. If you wish, please submit online condolences/memories to muellerfh.net.
