Cynthia “Cindy” Mae Luethy, 74, of the Town of Vinland, died Friday, May 16, 2025, at Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh. She was born November 15, 1950, in Oshkosh to the late Werner and Irene (Pugh) Otto. Cindy was a 1968 graduate of Oshkosh High School. On October 14, 1972, she married James Luethy. Cindy lived most of her life on Brooks Road. For many years, she worked as a secretary in the financial brokerage industry, most notably with A.G. Edwards and Edward Jones. Cindy loved cooking and enjoyed doing cross-stitch, sewing, playing cards, board games, and doing Sudoku and crossword puzzles.
Cindy is survived by her husband of 52 years, James Luethy; two sons and their families, Brian James and Lois Luethy and their son, Liam; Jason and Alison Luethy. She is also survived by a brother and his family, Frank and Sue Otto and their children, Noelle (Will) Weis, Brindle (John) Koeper; nieces, Teri Ellis, Angie Newell, Brenda Luethy; cousins and many friends.
Along with her parents, Cindy was also preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Leah Otto and Jim Ellis.
A visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday, May 22, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Mueller Funeral Home 904 E. Main St. Winneconne. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Kevin Heffernan officiating. Burial will follow in the Brooks Cemetery, Town of Vinland.
In lieu of flowers, memorials will be given to the Oshkosh Area Humane Society.
