Iva Mae Knoblauch, age 96, of Winneconne died Saturday, October 6, 2018, at Park View Health Center, Oshkosh. She was born January 1, 1922, in Channing, Michigan to the late George and Meta (Gradie) Kiser. On April 17, 1943, Iva married Donald Knoblauch in Alva, Oklahoma. She had worked at Paul's Super Market, Winneconne and then went on to work as a bookkeeper at the Zimmerman Mink Ranch in Winneconne until her retirement. Iva was a member of St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church in Winneconne. Iva and Don liked to travel to Hawaii and go on cruises. She enjoyed playing cards, reading, and in her later years, listening to books on tape. Iva especially enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She prepared many delicious turkey dinners for the entire family and frequently made her famous Schaum Torte.
Iva Mae is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Cheryl Knoblauch, of Oshkosh; a daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Terry Lucas, of Butte des Morts; three granddaughters, Tami Kurtz, of Winneconne; Teri (Casey) Schulze, of Oshkosh; Amy Lucas (Gary Dodd), of Butte des Morts; four great-grandchildren, Peyton Kurtz, Carson Kurtz, Owen Schulze, Addison Schulze; and nieces, nephews, and friends.
Along with her parents, Iva was also preceded in death by her husband, Donald; and two sisters and brothers-in-law.
A visitation for family and friends will be on Wednesday, October 10, 2018, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church 8 S. Fourth St. Winneconne. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Winneconne Cemetery on Thursday October 11.
Iva's family would like to express their appreciation to her caregiver, Steffi, The Waterford staff, the Park View Health Center staff, as well as the staff of Ascension Hospice for their loving care.
